Proactively protecting children’s vision for a brighter future
Imagine a child who can’t see the blackboard…
Millions of children worldwide struggle with undiagnosed vision problems that hold them back in school and in life. Often, something as simple as a pair of glasses can unlock their full potential.
In 2024 alone, we:
Early detection means these children can now:
Eye testing is one of the first things a patient undergoes at our eye care camps
State of the art technologies and highly skilled surgeons both local and from around the world
Post surgery followup and care is an important step at our eye care camps – this is where education begins
Blindness prevention education involves talking to the patients in their native languages and simple written instructions
We screened over 13,000 school children from 11 local schools. This is one of the most crucial step in fighting blindness – early detection
From humble beginnings in Hyderabad, Pakistan, in November 1989, with our first “Mobile Eye Treatment Camp,” which we used to call “Blindness Eradication Program” at that time, we’ve come a long way. That initial camp saw us screen 1,563 patients, perform 267 surgeries, and distribute 400 glasses. Since then, we’ve grown significantly in scale, expertise, surgical techniques, logistical planning, and cost-effectiveness.
